I Knew it Was Coming

I knew it was coming. I saw it a mile away. I just didn't want to face it. I wanted to stay in your web of lies forever.
When it came, it hit me like a head-on colision. I fell to the ground trembling. My heart was scattered all across the road. You didn't even stop to see if I was ok. I'm not mad. I'm hurt. The truth knocked more than just the breath out of me.
I still lie there. And when I see you go by, I have to turn my head. I can't bear to look at you.
I'm not healing. I never will. I was already at the edge. You just shoved me off.
