remembering life

In a knot bounded by a silk ribbon,
Flowing like the waves of an ocean,
Past the chimes of a blossoming flower,
High in the sky, deep of crushed violet,
Near the path of fresh churned earth,
Under the warmth of the golden flame,
Hidden beneath the hands of trees,
Across the bubbling brooks,
By the chirps of new nestlings,
Over the peak of the world,
Pounded by the force of nature,
Blowing with the roaring wind,
Tucked in the palms of one another,
Close to the pulsing blood-red center,
Forgotten — there it lies,
The love that we call life.
