Not Good Enough

The world lays out a lifetime full of opportunities.

Do you to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you god?
I’m not religious.
Then do you swear on your life?
I’m suicidal.
Then swear on your families’ lives.
They don’t lead lives worthy enough to swear on.
Just tell the truth.
I’ve been telling the truth the entire time.
That’s not what the defendant has told me.
Maybe you didn’t listen properly.
The evidence shows differently.
Maybe you didn’t see it properly.
Maybe you should just answer the question miss, and make our day a little easier.
Maybe you should listen to me.
I have been, I have been listening to lies.
You’ve been listening to the words.
As well as the clear evidence.
Maybe you should listen to the meaning.
Do you not understand what you have done here?
I’m pretty sure I’m the only one in this room who knows what it is that I’ve done.
Will you state to me exactly what you think of it to be?
I told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I swear on my f***ing life.
After that delayed answer tell me what it is that you are here for.
I just did.
If you tell me right now you will be in a whole lot less trouble young lady.
I just did.
I’m trying to help you! Listen to what I am saying. Please state before the court the crime of which you are guilty of committing.
I just did.
Excuse me your honour can I please have the right to speak.
Go ahead.
This girl doesn’t know what she’s saying, she’s has to think with a teenager’s mind,
This young girl committed a crime sir. If she thinks she is mature enough to have made these particular actions than she can be questioned. Continue please.
Tell me exactly what happened last Thursday night.
I went to dancing.
Tell me what happened when you got home.
What I did was not a crime.
Stop pretending you know everything. You are just a girl; just another girl who’s gotten in trouble with the law.
I’ve grown up.
You’re 15.
I know.
Young lady would you please continue with telling me what happened.
I got home and had a shower and went to bed.
You are a liar.
I just told the truth.
That’s not good enough.
Yeah I figured that.
