Darkness
The stream is engulfed in a light fog.
A girl sits there
on a plaid blanket,
looking out over the creek.
Stream racing
Fish swimming.
Bird chirping
Bunnies hopping
The girl sits,
as the fog slowly swallows her up.
Her heart racing,
it feels like she's falling.
Faster and Faster.
She gets up.
Running away from the darkness
that is trying to take her.
The dew grabs at her toes,
as she runs toward her house.
She opens the front door
and slams it behind her.
Wishing,
the darkness would go away.
