Life's Growing Changes
It’s was just like yesterday we were graduating kindergarten.
wearing our tiny, little gowns.
Now we’re leaving middle school…
So what’s with the frown?
It’s not the end of something; it’s the start of everything.
As our journey starts…
we enter high school,
with frightened and scared hearts.
Growing up and experiencing life’s changes,
It really is rough.
But don’t cry…you’ll still have memories.
Next year won’t be so tough.
We pushed the bullying, the cliques, and the rumors all aside.
We have become a family of friends.
We helped each other not with our minds, but our hearts…
But now we must come to the school year’s end.
The celebration, the ceremony, the dance…
It can’t always last.
We must exit the middle school and enter the high school.
But we should never forget our past.
We’re entering a world of much more maturity
and more hard choices.
But now it’s time to stand out
and raise our voices.
It was just yesterday, we were graduating kindergarten.
But then…in the blink of an eye,
I enter high school.
I no longer cry.
