Guarding the door with no lock to lock,
No walls stand the door to uphold,
So he stood there like a rock.

And when nothing is left, and to dust turn your socks,
He will be there when you are old,
Guarding the door with no lock to lock.

Never will you see him talk,
Never will you see him fold,
So he stood there like a rock.

The one man who will not you mock,
He who can’t be bought or sold.
Guarding the door with no lock to lock.

And when you return from the door with no lock,
You see in there, face set in gold.
So he stands there like a rock.

The doorman of dreams, you only have to knock,
To face the reality that only you can mold.
Guarding the door with no lock to lock,
So he stood there like a rock.

I feel that this is a pretty cryptic poem, which is unlike my usual style. Enjoy it!
