Alone you are ice
But with him you are liquid
And he is the Tupperware
Container you sit in.
You take on the shape
That fits him best
And abide to whatever
He suggests.
Without any structure
To call your own
And incapability
To stand alone.
It's easy for him
To dump you out.
And you'd be a mess
Without a doubt.
However to him
It just means he has space
For a different liquid
To take your place.
Someone new
Satisfies his taste.
So consider yourself
Toxic waste.
What's the good in changing
to be what he wants?
Or what you THINK
He wishes you'd flaunt?
Why do things like fast
until you look gaunt?
Or allow the pressure to
always look sexy taunt?
Isn't that just more
unnecessary work?
Especially for a guy
Who's only a jerk?
You have to remember
to be what you're not.
It's easier to work
With what you've got.
Show off your beauty
Before it rots.
And quit trying to be
What you think is hot.
Take the crap off your face
And button your shirt.
Skip the six inch heels
And lengthen your skirt.
When it comes to love,
You shouldn't have to try.
Or constantly have
To cover up lies.
The feeling should hit you
By surprise
As you sense forever
In his eyes.
