If you were around
Random children running around.
You look at them,
but they mean nothing to you.
Then there’s this one little girl that catches your eye.
2 years old.
2 feet tall.
Dark silky hair, eyes that shine like stars,
little lips shaped with perfection, pink rosy cheeks.
Her obvious appearance.
Careless, happy, mischievous, innocent
and Fatherless.
You see her happy.
You see her fine.
But do you ever wonder, “Is that little girl mine?”
If you were around
you would have known that,
That innocent little girl was your daughter.
Or if you were around,
that little girl would have known that
you were her father.
