In a bout of fallen wings
A chastile structure of lost things
The picturesque memories of colonial days
Nostalgia acts as anesthetic haze.
For the reminiscence of blight is but far
A bloody war fought ‘or czar.
Serendipity was lost alone in way
A sudden rebellion coaxed to fray.
The lives were misplaced in a gauntlet of prayer
The cry of terror a traitorous blare
For the sound of death lies with but inside
A ghastly end do our forsaken pride?
