As I was flapping
my wings violently
towards the horizon
I found you,
all by yourself
curled up into a ball.
Just a baby gray mouse
helplessly lying there.
I took you under
my wing and raised
you as if you
were my own,
feeding you,
caring for you,
loving you.
And here you are
today alive as could be.
