Two Hours and Six Minutes

It's not like you to understand.
At least you're consistent.

And every time I read the stars
and every time I count the letters,
I am only reminded of one thing.

And every time I hear the sunset
and every time I watch our song,
I am only reminded of one thing.

And with every restless morning
marked by messy hair and scattered thoughts,
I am only reminded of one thing.

And with every staggering breath
of choking air and bloodshot eyes,
I am only reminded of one thing.

Two hours and six minutes since I last looked up.
But it doesn't matter.

Looking up would only remind me of one thing.

And if my thoughts cannot be reality,
looking up is just not worth the pain.
