Zhukov started the turn of the table
Making the others able
To stand up to Germany
And have uncanny
Strength

Just there in Stalingrad
Oh so glad
The Luftwaffe couldn’t stand
In the ice, mud, and sand

Two years later
We storm the Beach of Normandy
Bloodshed on the sandy
Isles in a conquest
Thinking it was all over
Hopes we would return home with the luck of clovers
But then we found the camps
Souls hanging in the gas lamps
We freed those left
And prayed for the victims of theft
In hopes to never be bestowed upon with such bereft

Knowing this was the end
Of the suffering in the east
Order restored and no to bend
At least
Peace
Was half way
Obtained
