Emotions and Actions
The last day of school is the longest,
Sitting in class listening to the tick tock of the clock,
Hearing the teacher babble “Blah, blah, blah” about nonsense,
Watching fellow classmates chatter about what they’re doing during the summer break.
The last two minutes of the day is full of suspense,
As we wait for someone to come over the intercom and say “School is dismissed.”
The bell rings “ring, ring”,
And we fly out of the school,
Hearing “ha, ha, ha” as I walk down the hallway,
Kids running and laughing, about the fact that this is the last day we seniors will ever be here together,
And as we get into our cars, and zoom out of the parking lot, we reminisce over our four great years at Eisenhower High School.
