The cliffs call

The cliffs call
It’s so easy to fall
To get rid of it all
To have your pains lifted once and for all
To get rid of your agony
It’s so easy to fall
The wind gently caressed my check
It took my hand as though to play hide and seek
Its warm branches held me
And played with my hair
Ever so gently it edged me on
Kindly whispering in the light of dawn
Its okay
I moved further
It’s all right
My hands held on
The waves screamed, protested
They clashed
They spilled
They push me away in the burning sun of day
I can feel my arms stinging
It’s so easy to let go
The blood slowly moves away from my finger tips
Seeping out of my hands
I can feel the wind holding me
One last touch
The waves go aflame
They push me away
I scream
“Let me go”
Tears mingled with water
“I need to fall”
It’s just so easy to fall
They carry me away
Back to bursting blue
It wraps around me
I struggle
I scream
I beg
I need the wind
I need to fall
Then I fall limb
It was just so much easier to fall
But here
In the arms of
The clashing waves
I’m safe
Then the cliff laughs
It will always be easy
It says
Just so easy to fall.
