She smiles and laughs when others are around
But when alone, smile turns to frown
Like a Tempest
Thoughts and feelings twist
She's beside herself
Wind so strong, lost was her cry for help
She is a sailboat on the raging sea
The light of lighthouse she can not see
To get to safety of shore
She'll have to wait out the storm
The next day smiles and laughs she will send
Preparing for the Tempest that will come once again

My therapist told me to write a poem about how I felt my life was, so I gave it some real thought, and the words just spilled from my hand onto the paper. I hope you enjoy it.
