Unbearable Memory

By
The memory shot back in my mind so fast like a quick jump when you're unknowingly pricked with a needle.
As quickly as a schoolkid rushes through his homework, those words rushed my memory.
Brought me back to that week of familiar tears, weeping over her, wanting her pain, just to bring her back to me.
To hear her laughter that sounds so much like mine, yet so unspeakable.
To feel the comfort of a mother to her daughter.
To tell her of my pain that stings so deep that not God himself could heal.
As I heard those familiar words of that familiar song, I felt them.
I felt that deep throbbing in my throat, and the heat of my tears form behind my eyes.
