Take A Hike

May 16, 2008
By Moriah Mattson, Marietta, GA

Trees tower over your head
And roots weave under your feet

Take a hike

Leaves float down and hit you on your head
Birds fly high above you to land on their high nest

Take a hike

You walk through a trickling stream
And your feel the algae crawl in between your toes

Take a hike

The clear blue sky and the bright sun
Lead your long, winding way

Take a hike

Wild animals scamper in front of your path
And the beauty of the earth hits you like a hammer

Take a hike
