My type of Love
Love…
The illusion, the feeling, the pain,
The sentiment many of take in vain.
The lust, the passion, the bitter sweet,
The forbidden apple too good to eat.
The laughter, the joy, the breaker of rules,
The inexplicable force that turns us into fools.
This is the treasure I’m too blind to see…
For no chest will open up for me.
Because I am only a being so weak…
A defenseless human, so lonely, so meek.
Just as the raindrops fall from the dark starry sky…
As do the heartfelt tears streaming down my eyes.
For my heart only has room for you and I...And that my friend is no lie.
The cold frigid wind stroking my face,
Helps me realize that I’m losing this race…
That no one in this world could help me win this case.
The time passes by me and we’re just getting older…
My heart continues to ache because you aren’t my shoulder.
Life passes by me and it just gets colder, colder, and colder…
