hush said the moon
Chapped lips, pressed together—
blue on grey shadows mar the walls.
White dusted fingertips flick meticulously, carefully, lovingly—
at the lines left on the gossamer pages from earlier.
Moonlight ignites her hands, blanching them—
sneaking in, filling the empty spaces.
Unrestrained, it illuminates the purple shadows under her eyes—
and wraps its fingers in her sweat soaked hair.
