Fall From Grace
Fall From Grace
Upon the mountain I had my perch,
And never forward did I lurch.
Love fell on me like summer rain,
And from my tower I felt no pain.
This blessed love was everything to me,
For I was everything they wanted me to be.
But as of late the rain has slowed,
And the reigning love, once mine, has mellowed.
The pride in my heart cannot help but wilt,
As I seek some way my perch can be rebuilt.
Though it is not broken, just somehow awry,
My perch no longer seems so high.
It seems I have fallen from my once loved place.
It seems I have fallen out of grace.
