The rain brings new life,
But also causes a lot of strife.
The howling winds rip at the vulnerable trees,
Stripping them naked of all their leaves.

The lightning flashes,
As the rain splashes,
And the air is frigid,
Causing my limbs to become rigid.

The pouring of the rain,
On the, now satiated, terrain,
Becomes a normal sound,
And loosens the ground.

Flash floods and mud slides,
Cause hordes of people to go inside,
But they often pout,
Because their electricity is out.
