Curling tails of smoke
from the old broken wind
blew the house down
the curling tails of smoke
blew the house down
the breath
of the baby
blew the house down
the breath
of the wind
the curling tails of smoke

a frail fragile thing
an egg
the chicken's once-held pearl
cracked and broken
and
curling tails of smoke
blew it down.

The author's comments:
