What dreams may come
From far away?
It's not as if
I'd rather stay
Here where darkness
Rules the night,
Carried away
Like a bird in flight.
If the wish comes true,
So may the dream.
An averted glance,
A muffled scream.
Whatever it is,
Is at your door.
So let it come in,
Or are you waiting for
A smile, a wink,
An effortless wave?
Don't be a hero,
There's nothing to save.
So just walk away,
Into the night,
Carried away,
Like a bird in flight.
