Falling Leaves
The leaves are turning red,
Just above my head.
It starts to turn cold,
Then the jackets unfold.
The lake begins to freeze.
Frost forms on the trees.
The leaves start to fall.
We will have a ball.
Raking leaves into a pile;
It might take us a while,
But the exertion won’t show
When it’s time for hot cocoa.
Autumn is like no other,
It brings joys that you can’t smother.
