You always think you know the world you're living in
Know when to sing with happiness, when to play that violin
If you can feel it, touch it, smell it, taste it, then it must be so
The man who waves his hand in greeting must be saying hello
You tell yourself you'd bet your life on the fact the sky is blue
And then one day someone comes along, and informs you that it's untrue
Blue, you insist, as the ocean, as a whale, as her eyes
You poor girl, they'll say, all those things, were really green in disguise
You've been mixed up, all this time, you've gotten it all wrong
Everything you've thought was blue, has been a different color all along
