Rain drops falling from the sky
Are moving in slow motion
You jump and spread your arms
Like wings of a bird.
You try to fly
And instead hit the ground
With a noise that sounds of pain
What else is there to do but watch?
I can’t count how many times you’ve fallen
But still you try again
And I can’t figure out why
When each time you do
The thump you make
When your body hits the ground gets
Louder
And louder each time
And you take a little longer to get up.
Explain it to me
The faith you have in this world
Around you
How can I get some next?
