My Own
Your every word
makes my heart jump
I can’t lie to myself
My mask of apathy
so hard to paint
is only meant to help
And there are times -
its colors bleed
some secrets get revealed
But I’ll do my best
to make this easy -
and keep hidden what I feel.
My head screams
let it go already
by now you’ve lost your chance
In Bursting rhythm
My heart pounds
for somehow I just can’t.
It’s my choice
open up My heart
or else end up alone
I clench my fists
and bite my tongue
This frustration is my own.
