   IT'S BACK

THE SMELL OF PINE NEEDLES

AND THE SOUND OF THE RIPPLING LAKE

BARE FEET IN MY BEAN SHOES

AND HOT SUMMER SUN POURING DOWN THE BACK OF MY NECK

A FEELING OF RELIEF

YOUR FRIENDS WHOM YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IN 8 MONTHS

AND YOUR COUNSELOR WHO YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IN OVER A YEAR.

IT'S ALL BACK.

THE NIGHT SOUNDS WITH ECHOS

THE DEAD MATTRESS SPRINGS BONG

AND WHISPERS COME FROM THE BATHROOM

THE YELLOW LIGHT BULBS GLOW

AND THE TAPS RECORD BLASTS WITH OCCASIONAL SCRATCHES.

IT'S ALL COMING BACK

WHEN NIGHT IS OVER AND MORNING BREAKS

THE SUNLIGHT ROLLS IN THROUGH BARE WINDOWS

BIRDS CHIRP

AND ZAVEN'S GOLF CART ZOOMS BY THE FRONT DOOR OF YOUR CABIN.

BREAKFAST SMELLS COME FROM THE DINING HALL

AND CHILDREN ARE LAUGHING.

IT'S ALL BACK

SOON IT WILL BE GONE AGAIN

BUT IF YOU'RE STRONG ENOUGH YOU CAN HOLD IT WITH YOU

BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT NEXT YEAR

IT WILL ALL BE BACK
