Princess is in her chambers
the wizards in the fields
the knight in shining armor is battling
clinking swords and shields

King is on his thrown
Queen is dancing at the ball
Prince is making googly eyes
at girls tan and tall

Princess watches all the fun
bored to misery
wanting her knight to come home
from all his macho chivalry

King is very jealous
Jester is flirting with his Queen
She laughs and dances throughout the night
her eyes with a rebellious gleam

Wizard is casting spells
sparks and magic everywhere
apprentice watching without much interest
a young maiden girl’s his only care

The blacksmith is making armor
for the kings noble knights
they seem to damage all his good work
in their vehement fights

Dragon is in the dungeon
taunting a small mouse
The knight has come home again
to make a princess his spouse

Prince is dancing with a maiden
twirling her round and round
Queen is reunited with the King
together they sleep, happily bound

Apprentice has found his girl
together they make magic
the small little mouse has got away
The dragon thinks it’s tragic


Jester is pouting in his room
didn’t score with the Queen
guess he is too small and short
a bitter coffee bean

Small mouse sleeps heavily
the dragon gave him a fright
with his family he is safe
at least for tonight

Princess leaps into the Knights arms
he brushes her hair away and kisses her head
he is home and away from danger
away from terror and dread

Wizard is visiting the Dragon
for his magic he hopes to harness
dragon is grumpy from no meal
so the wizards robes are tarnished

Prince is making the maiden his own
a marriage is in the court
the maiden is gazing up at her prince
her perfect prince consort

The Queen is very bored
the jester dallies on his charms
but the Queen runs away to her king
he kisses her in his arms

Wizard is grumbling and wincing
the dragon has burned his butt!
And his apprentice has run away with a girl
and have taken all the brandy from his hut

The blacksmith speaks to jester
they make each other laugh
a new and strange relationship bonds
a secret marriage behind kings back

The mouse watches from his hole
the drama of the castle
he is granted from the dragon
his hole from a vassal
