Flight MAG

By Anonymous

   The liftoff,

quick and sure

quietly alleviates the pressure of land from beneath the

steady wheels.

The earth seems so far away,

but still it is visible.

The nose penetrates the loving clouds,

and gently tickles the atmosphere as it punctures into

unknown barriers.

All is calm and deep.

The wings quiver as the speed increases,

then they stabilize as the airplane grips its new

surroundings,

holding fast,

as to not discombobulate the spherical earth.

The birds shudder as they see the aeronautic giant conquer

the air.

The earth is just a blur,

only remembered in the images of the anxious passengers.

Climbing higher and higher still,

tip pointed up in triumph.

This is it,

this is flight.
