Silently

i watched Einstein scribble

white on black

chalk dust everywhere

no color

air polluted, thick with dust

no meaning in his

boring theories

life spent

adding sums

WHY

Laughing

i danced through the fields

of bright flowers

birds singing

sun in my hair

the sweet scent of honeysuckle

i whispered to the clouds

dreaming

and giggled with the tadpoles

in the stream

i thought of poor Einstein

who had never tasted

the raindrops

flavored by the moon

and i cried
