Internal Destabilization

Your is spinning, you can't see straight
You can only sit and wait for this feeling to abate
Pupils starting to dilate, You're feeling the effects in spate
Can't complain, this feeling is great

You're seeing the lights flash and the colors blend
Incapable to wend or to comprehend
It seems like this feeling will never end
And you will continue to ascend to a place with no end

The beauty is no limit and no restriction
But the contradiction is possible addiction
Risking eviction an future conviction
Maybe you should stop, you see where this is causing friction

The sensation you feel is complete relaxation
But come to the realization that it's all in your imagination
You face internal destabilization, so time for termination
Subtle meditation should replace your temptation

This poem is dedicated to my friend who is facing an arduous time with drugs. However, if and when he overcomes it, he will hopefully appreciate all the other things in life.
