If You're Awake Tonight
Lie down in the stillness.
Leave the rage and enter bliss.
Calm your mind and realize
That everything is on the inside.
You can't escape your fate
But you can erase your hate.
Remember all you used to know,
Breathing in and letting colours show.
Pain doesn't stand a chance this night
While you're sheltered by your imaginary light.
Against pillows of comfort,
Ignoring a breeze that retorts.
Think of your life and what you've done,
How you've lost, and how you've won.
Take a minute to see how you ended up here,
Alive and free in forgotten tears.
Nothing will exceed if you don't forget,
Eventually losing all the regret.
If this eve of sleep should abandon you,
Abandon it too.
And think of these things, it's relative to life.
Picture the good of it if you're awake tonight.
