The War MAG

By Anonymous

   The old man knows

or so he thinks

The sage,

prided on wisdom

The young man

lacks what

The world has to offer

Remaining provincial

The two together

a crossfire of words

Rearing their armored heads

To prepare for battle

Swords clash -

Lightning strikes -

No one falls

to the ground

The two stand

Face to face

The world

on their shoulders

Why do you never believe me

Why is everything I say

always wrong

What could I do

to make you believe me

I'm only trying to make you

strong ...

It's always my fault

You always put me down

Do you even care about me

You'd be happier if

I wasn't around

Do you hear

what you're saying ...
