The Words
The words that are spoken,
Uttered from your lips,
Are words that I would have believed,
If you wouldn't have said them at all.
What you say and what you mean,
are two different things.
And every word you don't say,
Is so much more louder,
Than the words you choose to edit,
Before they escape through your lips.
What you didn't say,
Was exactly what I needed to know.
The irony in all this is that it's not lying.
The things we say are edited,
And don't always include the vital information.
You could be in your deathbed.
And your treatment could be only half of what you need.
Of course you'll survive for a bit longer,
But you don't have every thing you need.
Words are just the same.
We only receive a portion of them.
What if what they chose to keep to themselves for our sake,
Was the very piece we needed into decoding the sentence with the missing components;
Words.
