   I lift my shield

as the incessant downfall

teases the twisted skeletons

of fallen umbrellas

tumbling by my feet.

Wet ragged glue cloth sticks to my skin.

Rushing winds whisper,

decide to run together,

doubleback.

Their liquid arsenal bursts against my skin

as my glass-coated legs cut through the soggy air.
