The red streak flies through the bushes
A small wet nose pokes up
The dark eyes follow
As it thinks
The eyes move back and forth
one paw impatiently tapping the earth
then it streaks for a rabbit
that had just come out of a hole
the bushy red tail streaking after
down the hole the rabbit goes
the pointed ears droop in disappointment
turning the shining eyes find me and away it goes
Bounding over a dead log and into the bushes
To find another rabbit
