Awaiting light, I sit and stare, watching all and everywhere;
People die and people cry; another egg gets fertilized.
Mugged and sought, raped to bone, these walls of stone are marked as home.
Time tells all, as it goes on, the wars, the fights, the evil throngs.
Grab and go, then getaway, this is life; the muggers’ way.
Blows to nose-broken bones; can we actually call this home?
Breaking out, and breaking in, begging time; please give in.
Late nights out, congested throats; wheezing coughs- another smoke?
Thrusting tongues and cheating hearts; wife comes in, it falls apart.
Lass and Lad both struck by Dad; bad is worse, but worse is bad.
Fate is fake, but hate is true; life is hard, but we’ll get through.
Awaiting light, I sit and stare, watching all and everywhere.
