“Walk behind me”
“Don’t hold my hand”
“I’m older now,
you just don’t understand”

“Why not? How come?”
“Trust me, I’m old enough”
“It’s embarrassing, can’t you see?”
“It’s not us, it’s me, not we.”

Oh, what a sad day it will be
When you come face to face with the older me
I hope that day will never come
But when it does, as I change, please remember

I love you,
for now and forever.

Precious Poet: when I was 13 I hated myself, my life and everyone who loved me the most. I am so very greatful today, that I changed and those who loved me didn't. Its been a joy to love and be loved, no matter what. I love you, now and forever... no matter what!
