Ain't Nobody Perfect

Please don’t take me
I lived here all my life
This is my home
The home of my ancestors

I know I’m not a perfect child
I know my pa is gone
I know my ma drinks too much
But hey,
There ain’t nobody perfect

I’ve got dirt in my hair
My clothes are old and warn
I may be a little skinny
But hey,
There ain’t nobody perfect

Your shiny car
Pressed white shirt
Papers I can’t read
You don’t fool me

Please don’t take me there
No one there will like me
People don’t care for each other
There ain’t nobody with respect

But hey,
Ain’t nobody perfect
