In Need of Therapy
I deal with your poison too frequently
It saps my energy
Leaves me lethargic
Too much of you
Begins to wear on the senses
I feel myself dying
The longer I let myself stay
I refuse to exist in your vicinity
But you follow me everywhere
I am trapped in your shadow
Smirking into the shattered mirror
Don’t come too close
Or I’ll be just like you –
Sick and twisted
Writhing in pleasure
Over the drops of blood
You spilled so far
Slick linoleum tiles
Of the kitchen floor
