untitled
It was the best game ever—
Way much better than house—
But I still got to be a mommy
And I was married to a daddy.
I got to tell him hi
When he came home from work
And he would call me honey and sweetie
Because Daddy told him to.
And he’d give me a kiss
And he’d hug me
Like Daddy told him to
And he was so good
He never even stepped out of the lines
Just like Daddy told him to
And when Daddy’s battery died
On his video camera
We stopped playing
And Daddy would always say
One day, we were gonna be movie stars.
