Layers of Whose Inside

Layers in you hair to hide the
Layers of whose inside
Contradicting Self-esteem
You always join the losing team

Who would bother to judge you now?
Your makeup writes your flaws
On your lieing mouth
Cake on mascara full of righteousness
When you cry even Jesus can't put up with it

Layers in your hair to hide
The layers that you hide behind
Executing constant pride
One day you'll choke and fall behind

Who would bother to waste their time?
Your mask melts your face
When you're in the devils eyes
Cake on mascara full of morals
When you eat lies you'll find you're never quite full

Layers in your hair to hide the
Layers of whose inside
Wanting something you can't find
One day you'll look back and regret wasted time

This poem is non-fiction because it is written based off someone I used to consider a good friend.

I really like this poem. I refuse to wear make up myself, but I love how you used it to further make a point in this piece. Love it
