We went simply to visit you
we knew you didn't have long left
I never imagined i be there to see your death
I couldn't believe you had taken your last breath
as your spirit lifted and surrendered to the sky
my life just paused as everyone cried
I was devastated that you left!
But i was wrong for you never did.
I know know you'll never be gone..
but linger in our worlds
as the wind blowing through our hair
the tears in our eyes
and the weakness within our hearts
so this isn't goodbye nor a reason to cry
yet an excuse to beyond our eyes.and find all the secretes that the earth hides
and i may never be able to feel your soft skin again.
but at least i can take my time and never have to say goodbye truly say my goodbyes
because even though your body lies.
your spirit never really dies
