Something Real
I’m done with fake
I want something real.
Something that when I reach to grab for it
It’s really there.
Not simply an illusion created by the heart,
As not to get hurt.
No more secret dates, undercover lovers, not together yet not apart.
Call it what you wish.
I now choose to evade it all.
My heart now yearns,
A love to be seen by all eyes,
A hand I can reach out to hold,
Knowing that it will be there.
Words that prevail what they mean,
And emotions that cannot commence to be expressed by them.
My heart yearns
A love that cannot only be seen by myself,
But also the world in which we live.
