Love is a war
there's no doubt about it
what else could it be?
there's no kind of logic
It's painful and hurts
it can tear you apart
why do we keep it
so deep in our hearts?
Love may be a war
but so is life
it's something we live with
everyday, everynight
the pain makes us stronger
though it's hell at the time
we all need love
just as much as we need life
Love is a war
there's no doubt about it
but we all need it
we can't live without it

Your friends just may be right. This is so true. Sometimes love just stinks, but we always come back for more, it's just a fact of life. It reminds me of a Good Charlotte song called Victims of Love. "Everybody hurt somebody before,everybody's been hurt by somebody before. You can change but you'll always come back for more. It's a game and we're all just victims of love."
