I wake, everyday
Hoping my feelings of trusting you, eased
Because not trusting you, has made it hard for me because I love you
Disappointed in myself by how much harder it has become
To trust you.
I try to believe I can trust you,
I try to believe that you changed.
You call and say you won’t cheat again,
You call saying that you changed,
that your love for me changed you
I try to believe, but it’s hard
I Try to trust , but trusting you is like trying to breathe under water
Trying to go up, every time I try to trust you I get deeper
Into the water, trying to trust you made it harder
For me to breathe
You call and say trust me but in the end I go over to talk about it
I didn’t tell you
I didn’t call you
because I wanted to surprise you and tell you
That I’d consider going back if you tell me more of why I should.
I walk in and I see you with another woman.
Trying to trust you made me believe I will not, should not and,
Do not trust you.
