One slither of the knife,
Or a quick drink
Can bring your whole world down.
You don’t know why you chose this path,
Why everyone is worried.
You think it is nothing,
No, it is something.
Why can’t you realize all the pain and suffering
That you are causing?
Everyone around you worried, scared,
And telling you to STOP!
All the while you keep sinking into the 7th’s circle middle circle.
Scratching at the walls trying to climb out,
But having no luck.
Then one day comes,
Where someone brave goes down
Into that circle, calling your name, and searching for you.
Finding you huddled in the dark,
They tell you,
“Everything is going to be alright.”
You grab their hand,
And climb out of that hole together.
Though once you step on firm ground,
You feel like Pandora’s Box was released once again,
Everything around you crumbling, and falling.
But in all of the suffering,
You see a small speck of hope left in the distance.
You run towards it trying to move on,
Falling on your way there,
But getting right back up,
Till you get there.
After a great battle you get there,
Grab it and hold on to it for your life.
Looking back at what you just went through,
Realizing that those days will haunt you for the rest of your life.
You never knew that all of this would happened due to one drink,
Or one slither of the knife.
All of this was one change that you never wanted.
