Engage: a poem by Kendall McCabe
People keep engaging and don’t you remember how you spoke English and gave up being a wallflower for me? And new words dropped from your lips heavy and loud and you tried to make me say “iloveyou” but I was embarassed and my language wasn’t too good so instead you kissed so soft so senseless with your Juicy Fruit lips and we sang and whispered and it was love at second kiss
But I lied and said I was from Neue Jahrke so now her name is deborah? & engage.
