Up and Beyond
Look up to a clouded sky,
See the birds soaring and flying high,
Listen to their musical tones,
Close your eyes and remember what you’ve been shown.
This is the sky of many shades of blue,
With a gentle breeze and a hint of hue,
Your world’s barrier and gate to Heaven.
Tonight you’ll see it all again,
Only looking much deeper into space,
And polluted by stars, you’ll stop your haste,
Breathe in the fine air of the surrounding terra,
You’ll open your eyes to see things clearer,
Think of everything you want next, your wish,
To fill your precious world with renewing bliss.
And to your left, the moon will reflect on the lake,
Light will be shown against the beauty of your face,
Marking the happiness that you show,
From the pleasure of seeing the sky both day and night, I know.
And as the sun begins to rise,
Fading away the night sky,
With a soft smile, you say with delight,
A whisper of departure to the lovely sky night.
